The US and China last week signed the “Phase One” trade agreement after about 18-months of trade war between both countries. With the deal signed, China is expected to (1) increase purchases of U.S. manufacturing, energy and agricultural goods and services by at least $200 billion over two year, (2) makes commitments to try to root out the sale of counterfeit goods, (3) boost Chinese market access to financial services firms.
