Earnings growth recorded in 9-month financials

UBA carried on the growth momentum from its half-year financial performance to the third quarter of 2021. Interest Income was up by 8.38% (N344 billion) compared to N317 billion recorded in 2020’s 9-month financials as a result of an 8.26% rise in Interest Income on Amortised Cost and Fair Value Securities.

The bank’s solid implementation of its digital strategy yielded a 50.71% growth in  electronic Banking Fees which in turn led to a 30.55% growth in Fees and Commission Income compared to 9-months 2020. PAT and PBT both rose by 36.50% and 20.75%  against 9-months 2020 while Annualized EPS closed the period at N2.94/share, up from N2.16 in 9-months 2020.
