The International Monetary Fund in the latest update to its World Economic Outlook (WEO), released last week, projected global growth to rise from an estimated 2.9% in 2019 to 3.3% in 2020 and 3.4% for 2021 (downward revision of 0.1% for 2019 and 2020 and 0.2% for 2021 when compared to those in the October WEO).
